Thank YOU for helping us change over 12,500 lives

Happy Thanksgiving, Friend! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support for the children in most need, educating girls, and empowering local communities.

Our dedicated long-term partners, supporters, friends, volunteers, and donations big and small, we are overjoyed to share that we’ve made a positive impact on over 12,500 lives this past year in the remote Himalayan community of Nepal.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to those of you who selflessly gave their time, energy and resources. It’s because of people like you that we’ve been able to bring life-changing education, support, empowerment, and hope to hundreds of families in Nepal.

Arhaus Children's Home: 80 kids housed & nurtured this year.

Friends of Arhaus Children going to school

The Arhaus Children's Home gives vulnerable and orphaned children a chance at a better future. By providing a secure, nurturing home and support with their schooling, we aim to break cycles of poverty and vulnerability. The project paves the way for up to 80 children at a time to have a better future.

Girls Education Program: 120 village girls empowered to pursue higher education.

Our Girls Education Program is dedicated to supporting girls from underprivileged families who would be unable to pursue higher studies without assistance. Through initiatives such as Himalayan Hope Home in Kathmandu, Girls Higher Education Dormitory in Solukhumbu, I Am Proud to be a Girl, and the Girls’ Bachelor Initiative, we empower girls to finish their schooling and go on to realize their dreams.

Indirectly, over 600 families benefit from our Girls Education Program.

Seeds of Hope: 950 households fed & supported through a sustainable agriculture project.

Around 5,700 individuals are benefitting from Seeds of Hope, a grassroots program that helps rural women to farm their own fresh produce through seed donations and agricultural training workshops. The program has also fostered the growth of local support networks and sustainable agriculture initiatives such as building greenhouse tunnels.

Participants have even started generating their own income by selling excess produce to neighbors and local markets, thus breaking down old economic barriers and giving these women more power within their families and communities.

Child Education Sponsorship: Lifting 1,200 individuals out of poverty through education

The Small World’s Child Education Sponsorship Program offers a ray of hope to vulnerable children overcoming tremendous obstacles. Our program beneficiaries include youths who have lost their parents, or who come from families where parents lost their jobs due to COVID-19 or natural disasters. Others have grown up in single-parent or poverty-stricken households where families were unable to support their children’s education.

Our program ensures that these children receive the education they deserve and gives them the chance to break the cycle of poverty. By deeply embedding ourselves within the children's families, schools, and communities, we build a strong foundation for their future success, letting them thrive and reach their full potential.

Kailash Free Medical Camps in Remote communities: Serving 3000 patients in isolated areas

Our Free Remote Medical Camps bring crucial healthcare services to communities in far-flung villages, which are otherwise without access to hospitals or clinics. Our team of physicians, gynecologists, dentists, heart specialists, pediatricians, optometrists, pharmacists, and nurses deliver essential medical consultations, treatment, and advice, as well as free medications on prescription.

Through these camps, we also collect critical medical data to gain a better understanding of prevalent health issues in the region, which benefits approximately 3000 people annually.

Phuleli Community Health Center: A lifeline for remote Himalayan villages serving 5,500

Shanti Rai graduated from The Small World Girls education program is now service at in charge of this community health center.

Phuleli Community Health Center, located in one of the most remote villages in Solukhumbu, is a life-saver for geographically isolated communities in the Himalayas. Despite limited resources and staff, we provide free 24/7 services including safe motherhood programs, nutrition education, and family planning services.

On average, the center treats 15 people per day, serving approximately 5,500 annually. Our mission is to ensure these vulnerable communities have access to essential healthcare services, giving them the chance to lead healthier, more productive lives.

Once again, Millions of thanks, and may your holiday be a reflection of the hope and joy you’ve given to others.

With Heartfelt gratitude
